What Is SBA Lender Hub?

SBA Lender Hub is a free, independent directory of SBA 7(a) lenders built specifically to help small business owners find the right lender for their deal - faster and with more confidence than calling banks cold.

Unlike lender referral services or lead generation platforms, SBA Lender Hub does not accept payment for rankings or favorable placement. Every lender's position in our directory is determined by objective data from public SBA records: loan volume, approval activity, geographic coverage, and industry focus.

Why We Built It

Finding the right SBA lender is harder than it should be. The SBA approves over 900 active 7(a) lenders, but their activity levels vary enormously - some close hundreds of loans per year, others close fewer than five. The difference between working with an active, experienced SBA lender and an inexperienced one can mean weeks of delays, unnecessary declines, or paying more than you need to.

The data to identify the best lenders has always been public - the SBA makes loan-level data available through FOIA disclosures - but it's buried in raw government files that most small business owners never see. SBA Lender Hub processes that data and makes it searchable, filterable, and human-readable.

Our Data Sources

All lender rankings and loan activity data on SBA Lender Hub is derived from:

• SBA FOIA public records - loan-level 7(a) approval data published by the U.S. Small Business Administration
• SBA lender registry - official list of SBA-approved lenders and their program designations (PLP, SBA Express, etc.)
• Public regulatory filings - supplementary data from FFIEC and banking regulatory sources

We update the directory periodically as new SBA data is released. Data shown reflects the most recent available SBA fiscal year records.

Ranking Logic

Lenders are ranked based on a combination of: total loan volume (number and dollar amount), recency of activity, geographic reach, industry concentration, and program designations (PLP status, Express designation). No lender can pay to improve their ranking. Enhanced listing features (logos, descriptions) are available commercially but do not affect rank order.
